BIPV |
| |
We received a license certificate from Underwriter Laboratories (UL) Inc.
to produce
BIPV modules in August 2007. Our BIPV modules are similar
to our standard modules
but are customized and can be mounted vertically
on an exterior wall, taking the place of
traditional siding, which maximized
the area that is exposed to sunlight and therefore
particular useful for commercial
office buildings. BIPV modules are also useful in balancing the utility of generating an alternative source of electricity with the architectural and aesthetic concern of building design. We expect to begin production of our BIPV modules in the second half of 2008. |

GIH's black building integrated photovoltaic (BIPV) module can be mounted vertically on an exterior wall, taking the place of traditional siding. It can be perfectly blended into the architecture, contributing to a clean and sustainable energy resource as well as a lower electricity cost. |

Viewed from the inside, the unique cell-pattern panels allow an open view of the sky while delivering non-polluting electrical power. |
